Liz

So we promised not to lie and to share the ups and downs....... spice and me = a no go (well the amount of spice Mike uses anyway!) let’s just say chocolate shakes are not on my list of things for today. On the plus side my banana shake has gone down well this morning and has given me the pick me up I need.

5:20 wake up call this morning form Mikes son, not what I expected but I tried to enjoy my time before work and began this with a cup of coffee on the terrace and enjoyment of the views around us. Turns out coffee isn’t quite the same with sugar (2tsps for me usually) but I gave it ago without and it drinkable, hoping this may wake me up a little.

It been a stressful day at work today and usually when I’m stressed I grab some crisps/chocolate/basically just anything I can. But today for the first time that wasn’t an option for me, so water at hand and my lunchtime shake made I tucked into these and soon felt better. This kept me going and my energy levels stayed high to help me through the day.

A visit to the gym this evening, must remember to take it easy as my body is still getting used to the lower calories but I can do this.

I’m starting to feel the hungry slightly again now but nothing I can’t control with some more water on board.

Stuffed peppers this evening for dinner (lets just hope Mike doesnt overdo the spices this time). My last day working before the weekend. I get to pick up Lexi in the morning (my German Shephard) and spend the week with her. Some nice walks, a hair cut & colour, visit to see our new house (yes we are moving whilst dieting! stressful!, not sure if this is brave or stupid!) but an exciting weekend ahead with some quality time together, much needed i say.

Mike

After struggling to get to sleep last night and the 2 pit stops required through the night to drain all this water out of me a 5:20 wake up call was maybe not on my preferred list for today. My son was excited for his first tooth fairy visit here and was so excited to come and tell us that there was £2 under his pillow. Clearly teeth are more valuable nowadays from when i was a kid. I tried to get him to go back to bed and even tried laying with him in bed but alas he was awake. I would have been a mess previously on such little sleep but i have to say I have been fine today. Same energy to sieze the day and i feel more focused than usual.

The new smoothie maker we have purchased certainly seems to blend the mix better and i managed to avoid covering myself in strawberry flavoured powder today. So in that respect i am improving all the time.

Me and Liz continue to have discussions about our bowel movements. We are far too comfortable with each other. I mean there is wanting to share each others lives but somethings are surely best left secret.

Today i am going to be preparing a stuffed pepper dish for our dinner. Cauliflower rice, mushrooms and Harissa paste stuffed in to half a red pepper and baked in the oven. We will post photos to accompany later this evening.

This evening we intend to spend some much needed time together and one would presume that after Liz has been to the gym this will be me watching the football whilst she sleeps.

Carpe Diem 4L

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
