Day 13 - tough day

Liz -


So we promised no lies, today for me has been tough. I have had my first splitting headache and extreme tiredness. I'm not sure how i slept last night but I do know i didn't have to get up in the middle of the night.

I felt good when I first woke up, had my cafe latte shake for breakfast, cracked on with work. Then it hit, this throbbing headache, I felt like someone had just punched me in the front of my head. I managed to carry on and had my lunchtime shake.

Once we had finished work, we took Lexi out again together and the fresh air has done me good. A nice long walk with my 2 favourite, just what my head needed. I came back and felt alot better than I have all day.

I tried my shakes at different times today & i must admit at the moment it does feel better. I went for 8am, 12noon & 4pm. We then had our homemade stir fry at about 7pm (very nice i must admit, even with turnip in), I must remember not to let Mike near spices. I said 'you can put a small amount of chilli flakes in if you like', to which he adds half a jar!! still I enjoyed the dinner and would happily eat it again - although not right now as I feel full up.

I've got a fair amount of water to drink for today, usually i'm done by now. But I can do this, I can get through today, sleep well tonight and wake up tomorrow in a better place.

Still waking up feeling full of life. This diet is doing me the world of good. Another succesful day at work and smashed out everything i needed to in very quick time. I can't believe tomorrow it will have been 14 days since we started. Liz has been so good to do this with me and i know she has had a difficult day today but she is so strong. It's nice that we can start making plans for the middle of the summer when we won't be quite so restricted with what we can and can't eat. I can't wait to take my girl out for dinner and show her off.

I have to say i am struggling with having 3 shakes per day. I have my morning shake which does me until the afternoon, i then have one in the afternoon when i get home which more than does me until dinner and then after dinner i am full and don't want anything else. But i must make sure i do all 3 to make sure my body gets everything i need.

I have found a good way of making sure i drink all of the water i need to. I chuck in 2 spicy chilli's in to my dinner and before i know it all my water is gone. Dinner was really nice today. Home made stir fry with a vaired selection of vegetables. I have one shake left to go and will have a chocloate orange one i think later this evening. We are going to give new yellow topped milk a go. It is B.O.B milk which is skimmed milk that tastes like semi skimmed milk. Worth a try i figure.

We had another nice walk before dinner with Lexi. She goes home tomorrow and i pick Jack up from school. He's only here for a couple of nights and me and Liz have a few nights to ourselves. Would have been lovely to go out for dinner then but we are going to wait and enjoy it when we can.
